LASERcam 4 awarded Home Office Type Approval7 October 2020

Truvelo is proud to announce that LASERcam 4 has been awarded its long awaited Home Office Type Approval.

Already purchased by MET Police amongst other forces, we consider that LASERcam 4 to be the sole new device in the UK market which meets the very specific requirements of Safety Camera Partnerships. At the same time it is also the easiest device for Roads Policing Units as well as Community Speedwatch teams to operate.

In conjunction with Truvelo's innovative VMS software solution, LASERcam 4 allows original evidence to be transferred to the back office and archived automatically and seamlessly AND without any recordable media required; LASERcam 4 therefore brings unique cost and efficiency savings to your operation. Furthermore, the "low-touch" nature of this evidential transfer sets it apart from any other mobile enforcement device on the market today, crucially important when we need to operate in Covid-safe environments.

LASERcam 4 can capture a legible license plate in video evidence up to 250 metres. When LASERcam 4 is used with its optional detachable Yoke and Telephoto lens, you can extend the range for legible licence plates to in excess of 400 metres.

Like its award-winning sibling product, ProLaser 4, LASERcam 4 is capable of enforcing right up to the maximum range of 750m permitted by the Home Office in line with all latest generation technology.

Note the Falcon radar device in the library photograph in the above referenced article! Not the latest generation but still going strong where legislation permits due to the legendary Kustom Signals build quality and maintenance out Truvelo's West London facility!

VIA Cam12 January 2017

In what is proving to be a busy period of product innovation by Truvelo we can also announce the launch of our latest VIA-Cam industrial spot speed radar camera. Designed and built entirely in house, the VIA Cam features simultaneous bi-direction image capture from a single camera, and the option of setting different speed limits for the two directions. This allows a lower speed threshold to be set for vehicles entering the site.  Speeds as low as 10mph or below can be monitored and images captured using a single HD quality colour image.

For those clients requiring hand-held, occasional speed enforcement, the Falcon RR radar is ideal for measuring fork lift truck speeds and motor boats on lakes and inland waterways.
